Chatterley Whitfield

Community Training Programme

Groundwork Stoke on Trent & Staffordshire is delivering a Community Training Programme aimed at the community surrounding the Chatterley Whitfield site. The programme is being delivered with support from the European Regional Development Fund and Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and is aiming to identify the training that residents will need, in order to progress. The programme is looking to address the skills gaps that exist amongst the unemployed in the areas surrounding Chatterley Whitfield, with a view to delivering training courses which will aim to help the unemployed back into full time employment.

A Community Needs Analysis has taken place amongst residents living in the area surrounding Chatterley Whitfield, namely Ball Green, Chell Heath, Fegg Hayes and Norton.  The Community Needs Analysis took place in the form of a survey, in which residents were asked to identify any training courses which may be of help in tackling a skills gap

The returned surveys will be collated and the next step will involve the delivery of training courses to tackle some of the skills gaps that have been identified.
