	The Home Office established the Anti-Social Behaviour Unit in January 2003 to lead the drive to tackle anti-social behaviour. The Unit works across Government to co-ordinate and develop a new approach to tackling anti-social behaviour.

	Changing Places
	The Changing Places Programme is transforming 21 former industrial sites throughout the UK into new community assets with Millennium Commission funding. Working with nature and local people, 1000 hectares of woodland, wetland and wildlife habitats are being created for local people and visitors to enjoy for at least another century.

	The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) is an independent multi-disciplinary professional and examining body for scientists, engineers, other environmental professionals, students and those committed to the sustainable management and development of water and the environment.

	Community Fund
	The Community Fund gives Lottery money to charities and voluntary and community groups.

	English Heritage
	English Heritage make sure that the historic environment of England is properly maintained and cared for. By employing some of the country's very best architects, archaeologists and historians, they aim to help people understand and appreciate why the historic buildings and landscapes around them matter.

	Envirowise offers UK businesses free, independent, confidential advice and support on practical ways to increase profits, minimise waste and reduce environmental impact.

	Friends Of Chatterley Whitfield
	Chatterley Whitfield is a derelict colliery and Scheduled Ancient Monument which contains the most complete record of colliery buildings in England, and possibly Western Europe. Friends of Chatterley Whitfield was set up in September 2001 with the object of saving the mine site for future generations

	Gate It
	Operation Gate It aims to deliver physical environmental improvements to areas which are run-down, badly designed or poorly maintained and have become magnets for anti-social behaviour.


	Kirwin Consulting
	Jo Kirwin is an independent ecological consultant, specializing in surveys for plants and mammals, particularly bats. She can provide clients such as planners, developers and landowners with a range of services from advice on legislation and planning requirements, to how to manage land or gardens to encourage wildlife.

	Land Restoration Trust
	A new venture aimed at tackling enduring dereliction across England and transforming eyesores into valuable community assets is being planned and developed by a partnership of four national organisations.

	Learning & Skills Council
	The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) is responsible for funding and planning education and training for over 16-year-olds in England.

	Moorlands Housing
	Moorlands Housing is a Registered Social Landlord based in Leek, Staffordshire. They own and manage around 3000 properties in and around the three Moorlands towns of Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph and the surrounding villages.

	SBEN
	SBEN (Staffordshire Business & Environment Network) helps to raise business awareness through seminars and enhance skills and knowledge through environmental training and counselling. The network also provides practical advice on developing and implementing environmental policies as well as promoting examples of good environmental practice.

	Staffordshire Environmental Fund
	Staffordshire Environmental Fund is an independent company limited by guarantee and was enrolled as an Environmental Body by Entrust, the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme's regulatory body in 1997. The scheme enables landfill site operators to contribute up to 6.5% of the Landfill Tax they collect to Environmental Bodies enabling them to undertake environmental projects which meet one of the scheme's objectives or assist other organisations to do so by making funds available.

	Staffordshire University
	Staffordshire University is a large university with approximately 12,000 full-time and 3000 part-time students.

	Staffordshire Wildlife Trust
	Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has been protecting and enhancing the wildlife and wild places of Staffordshire and promoting understanding, enjoyment and involvement in the natural world since 1969. They have over 10,000 members and manage 1,980 acres of land.
