Groundwork’s youth projects help young people take a more active role in the area where they live and encourage them to take greater responsibility for their own environment. The Youth Team works with a wide age group from 8 to 19 years old and not only involve them in community programmes but also help improve their job and education prospects once they have left school through such programmes as Entry to Employment (E2E).

This programme engages key stage four pupils in capacity building, basic skills and life skills. This is a term time programme where schools from throughout Stoke-on-Trent refer pupils onto the programme via Stoke-on-Trent LEA.
Runs two and a half days a week of which one day is spent doing outdoor activities such as orienteering or gardening and the rest of the time is spent doing practical activities at Groundwork such as team building, group work, sports, accredited learning and much more. The young people attend school for the remaining two and half days.
